Project Based Learning   Reading about project based learning reminded me of the projects we used to make in the previous years in different subjects. Now I have a clear idea of the reason why we did those projects and their importance. I remember a project in biology and we were divided in pairs and had to construct a body cell with all its parts.The teacher left us free choice about how to construct it and what materials to use. My friend and I chose to make it with plasticine . Still today I have in my mind the steps we followed to design it and the colors used according to each organelle in order to make it as real as possible.  During all the time when we were preparing it I was motivated and wanted to see how it would look like in the end. Constructivism as a Paradigm for Teaching and Learning   In the previous years of learning we as students were mostly used to the traditional teaching method. Every day it was almost the same, the teacher interrogated the previous lesson to put us grades, just numbers which were supposed to tell how much we had learned or how much we could remember from the text book. Later the teacher would explain the next lesson of the book and give as a lot of homeworks which sometimes would make as bored with school if we had whole pages of exercises to complete.    Characteristics of 21st century way of teaching       In the last years of study we have learned more about new methods of teaching foreign language to students which are very different from the traditional one. Some of the characteristics of the modern way of teaching I wanted to list in my blog. On of them is learner-centered classroom and personalized instruction.  Students have different personalities, goals, and needs, and offering personalized instruction is not just possible but desirable.
